the ones in asterik are ones that i think God is teaching me about... gentleness-- a low disposition, humble... ref: Phi 2=> how Jesus gave up heaven to be like man...
Lord help me to be lowly in my disposition... that i am nothing... help me
joshua asked me to name my sword in his new novel involving most of the 'dudes' from my local church... this is it..
Sword of Praus [pra oooce']
=> Sword of meek/meekness
with inscriptions on the sword:
'Not by might, not by power but by the Spirit' according to Zeh 4:6
cool ha? haha, but remember i take not any glory, but all belongs to the Spirit's = God.
from some help online:
"meekness towards God is that disposition of spirit in which we accept His dealings with us as good, and therefore without disputing or resisting. in the OT, the meek are those wholly relying on God rather than their own strength to defend them against injustice. thus meekness towards eveil people means knowing God is permitting the injuries they inflict, that He is using them to purify His elect, and that He will deliever His elect in His time (Is. 41:17, Lu. 18:1-8) gentleness or meekness is the opposite to self-assertiveness and self interest. it stems from trust in God's goodness and control over the situation. the gentle person is not occupied with self at all. this is the work of the Holy Spirit, not of the human will. (gal. 5:23)"
cool.. right? haha, wor... =) steady... may i learn to be gentle and meek hehe. =)
is it your prayers too?
samuel =)
