days have been spent on the final year project and stuff... well, i dunno.. but i did not really felt tired... until today when i just spent about 2 hours after brunch and basically shared Christ and tried to explain and tell of the gospel to my friend...
this, spending of time talking to my friend about Christ, was the one that kinda like wore me out... =_ well, haha, i think i have used some 'good' illustrations of the judgement: facing my friend, i use the analogy of a judge (myself); and my 2 fingers before the judge (myself..again..) and using 2 cups stacked on 1 another (as the illustration of Jesus, the redemption... as i will use later in my explanation...) here goes...
it is like a judge room, with the judge.. myself... judging the 2 persons in front of me... the 2 fingers... both of them fell short from 'my' standards. hence they both had to bear the judgement. i gave the call of the cups... =) i told my friend that now, because the 2 persons have to pay the penalty, and it is death as they ahve fallen short of the standards laid down. but i, the judge, now present an innocent party to take the part of dying and even to the illustration of using my own son to redemn the 2 persons. now what they need to do was to accept this proposition and the 2 would be spared...
1 of them agreed.. but 1 may so not accept. the one that did not would of course be in my-- the judge's warth as the person had decided to 'die' instead to accept the redemption that is given.... by grace...
my friend then said that he would be the one to choose to reject the offer and to die.
well, haha, i had the 'fun' of using illustrations but after all... i am but the one to tell of the good news... as my friend has rejected the offer from God, he had rejected God and Jesus, not only myself...
indeed, the love of God is incomprehensible... that He would choose to let His Son to suffer for man, only to say... 'accept your sins redemped, if you believe in the saving grace of Jesus' act of obedience by dying in your place...'
well, for a moment over the conversation, i felt that i dun really understand the love of God... it is somehow like a father's but sometimes if you really think about it... it is 'inhumane' not an action that a normal human would do, even for the ones he loves... and that is the extent of His love... even the mere writing of the words could not fully express the reality of the fullness of God's love...
futher, He runs in the risk of people rejecting Him(God) through the rejection of Jesus, His Son... Wor.... it is incredible... like my friend's reaction... =_
amidst, the seemingly unfruitful attempt to 'convince' my friend... it is clear, if i did not convince him, i am sure, by my knowledge that God and His Spirit have been working in the lives of many and He will still work even now... that the conversation is not in vain... i am sure that the Holy Spirit would do the work of further quickening my friend's heart and bring life to him, for the word of God is life!
it seems man, especially those called already by God in the present time, is to preach the word--- the good news of Jesus, in season and out of season... and i believe that is the fun part of obeying the duty given to us... hmmm, well, the word duty is too shallow a word to describe, rather the fun and intimacy of being like Christ, telling of the word= truth= life to many. Jesus told of himself, himself being the way the truth and the life. and we the children of God, borned not out of man, but of the spirit, have the priviledge to tell of the way, the truth and the life which is Jesus to many.... just as out Lord did over 2000 years back.
Wo... the joy and contentment of sharing in the suffering-- rejection etc.. og Christ... for this is like Jesus suffering for man, then to die as an act of obedience to God, only to attain resurrection of the dead through the power of God. may we take joy as we face rejection, for as the same as Jesus suffered and dead and ressurected, if we partake in suffering for His sake, may we also partake in the ressurection into our heavenly bodies when the coming of our Lord and Christ again in the last days!
Holy... Holy.. is the Lord
King of Glory
Forever, Savior of the world! [Through it all;bridge]
You are the Way, the Truth and the Life
we walk by faith and not by sight, for you
we're living all for You! [One Way; bridge]
Lord, may the power of Your Spirit be the source of power in us! for we desire your power to come in Glory! which is to mean Your Spirit to move in power! Holy Spirit, move freely in our lives, convicting, chastening and cleansing us by the faith that is in Christ Jesus!
Spirit of God increase in us!
